Expecting Justice

A collective Impact effort working on innovative approaches to eliminate health inequities for Black and Pacific Islander birthing people.

The Design.

This project involved creating a visually captivating website for Expecting Justice- a birth justice advocate who focuses on addressing birth inequities faced by Black and Pacific Islander (PI) women. One of the key objectives was to highlight the Abundant Birth Project, a unique program that provides unconditional income supplementation during pregnancy for 150 low-income Black and Pacific Islander pregnant women in San Francisco.

The website’s aim is to raise awareness about the challenges Black and PI women face while providing a platform for education, resources, community engagement, advocacy, and empowerment. To achieve this, I incorporated colorful graphics with floral elements and bold colors, creating a visually appealing and inviting atmosphere.

The website focuses on images of Black and PI women, along with their families. By showcasing these images, the website aims to challenge the stereotypes and celebrate the beauty and resilience of Black and PI women.
